GAMSAT S3 Applied Sciences Course
Learn key science concepts and how to apply them to real GAMSAT-style questions!
GAMSAT-style questions are categorised based on science topics and sourced from ACER practice materials.
It is highly recommended that you complete the "GAMSAT S3 Crash Courses" prior to this course, as the generic skills learnt will be helpful. Please note that questions were carefully selected to ensure minimal repetition of questions already covered in the Crash courses.
GAMSAT Physics - approx. 9hr
Topics included: motion, conservation of energy, momentum, mechanical equilibrium, torque, fluid, buoyancy, electric circuits and more ...!
GAMSAT Physical Chemistry - approx. 6hr
Topics included: eletronegativity, raoult's law, freezing point depression, acidity, stoiciometry, equilibrium, buffers, redox and more ...!GAMSAT Organic Chemistry - approx. 6hr
Topics included: saturated vs. unsaturated fatty acids, resonance, reaction mechanisms, isomers, chirality and more ...!
GAMSAT Biology - approx. 6hr
While we will go through science knowledge, that is not the focus of the course. Rather, we will learn how to apply specific scientific concepts and skills to actual GAMSAT-style questions while also using generic skills (eg. numerical reasoning, pattern recognition etc...) to arrive at the best answer.
See you in class!
IMPORTANT NOTES: To get the most out of the recordings you must have your own copy of the following practice materials.
